About Trevor Eissler:
I am the father of three Montessori students, a business jet pilot, author, and international speaker. Montessori Madness! explores how Montessori education best prepares children for the world outside the classroom.
“iMontessori” is a parent education session I have presented to schools around the country. This DVD shows how the Montessori principles inside the classroom are important out in the “real world” lives of adults. Using examples from flight training and aviation safety, I discuss how Montessori concepts such as control of error, mixed-age classrooms, hands-on learning, self-motivation, and intrinsic rewards and punishments are relevant both outside the classroom and in the daily lives of adults. This DVD is ideal for loaning to prospective parents interested in your school and for viewing at parent ed events.

This project is an exciting collaboration with the team at June Books on a series of children’s books. 4,962,571 is for sale now! That 17th Hat can be pre-ordered and will be published in February 2012. Our goal is to delight and inspire children, while introducing families to Montessori education. We create books that honor children and their important work of self-construction. It is our hope that parents, intrigued by their remarkable children and inspired by the June Books stories, will make a point to go visit their local Montessori school to observe a classroom.
